REAL AND UNREAL

With lines and colors, self-styled reasons and presumed meanings, what you see here are just images of my internal reality, thoughts and emotions painted into textures and forms, completed with strengths and weaknesses I wouldn't see otherwise. Not unlike animals and plants and everything else, the intrinsic nature of self-expression isn't unique to man. Like a flower in bloom is in fact fulfilling life's longing through unfolding its nature. Thus I too am the lucky one to have come to know myself this way-- through endless experiments in a magic show out of the known world, where I cherish those fleeting beauty and changing truth, as they passed through me like drops of rain into the vast ocean of consciousness; or should I say, more like a brief note of my algorithmic existence submerged into the big data farm of the sapient world. Deliverance, Lao Tzu on Ox, oil on canvas, 40x30 in. Beauty is in the algorithm
The secret of stippling is to know when to separate and when to connect the dots. Whether you call it Chromoluminarism, Pointillism, Divisionism, or simply dot art, just be sure that no dot is random or unintended.

Talent is given. Techniques are obtainable through practice. Innovation may be achieved through experimentation. Truth is realized by the soul's conviction.

MY WORDS

Appreciate arts as you would appreciate a person. Firstly don't be dazzled by appearance. Love at first sight is just an indicator of something familiar. Take your time to see below the surface. A genuine work of art is like a devout friend, she would always grace you with beauty and truth; While the farce may flatter you with sweet nothings, or baffle you with cheap tricks and incoherent articulations. Essentially, a work of art that can stir up a little discomfort in our soul holds the spark for illumination.

Triumph Defeat Are Revolving Conditions In Life
and so making art is both a joyous and precarious endeavor.
For even a slight imperfection can become a glaring defect
that compromises the integrity of a work of art, and so
the whole thing collapses not unlike life itself...
Though for the artist, life begins anew at
the finishing line of a painting.
Perchance  thy  care  of  honour  shall  distract  thee
Well then, if thou dost look at the swift oblivion of all men;
and what an immense chaos of eternity was before,
and all things after; the hollowness of applause,
the fickleness of those who want of judgment
as                   they                   give                   praise.
Narrow is thine circumscribed dwelling,
For the whole earth is only a point--
How few and paltry of those
who will sing your praises!
